Those who open their eyes know for a certainty that the law is not equally applied now, and never has been in this country. This thus signifies that while there are plenty of good and sensible laws which are necessary for public order and safety – we also find that there are way too many laws or exercises so performed by the policing arm of the state which are at best, an inconvenience to the general public that are being stopped, frisked, and possibly arrested, and at worse can be something far more troubling and tragic.
Those who are the elites of this nation don’t really care what the law does or does not say because they know for a certainty that the law will not be equally applied against them, unless they have somehow lost their favoritism or position, and thus have become vulnerable to that which was never meant to inconvenience them. In truth, those with money and connections are almost always handled differently than those that are without those very things, which is why when there is trouble in the streets which is bad for business, we find that the elites of this nation are quick to call for more law and order, because at the end of the day all they really care about is that they are not subject to being in any sort of danger in addition to the fact that they do not willingly wish to have anything happening that would negatively affect their investment interests.
In reality, no matter how straightforward a given law is structured and thereby understood, for those who are the privileged, they are going to find a way that will let them be treated differently from all those who are the unprivileged. So too, even when there are clever attorneys who are working to defend the defenseless, the object of the exercise is to see that these do-gooder attorneys and their clients are only permitted to have a victory or two, but are never permitted to upset the general structure and purpose of what these laws represent and when that is the case, the law is restructured to clamp down on this type of inconvenience and misapplication.
To have a perpetual “get out of jail” card is the type of privilege that all wish they could avail themselves of, because the fact of the matter is that even good citizens may find themselves or their progeny in the type of situation that takes away that person’s freedom, and further to the point, it is both embarrassing and annoying. This signifies that those in the know are going to avail themselves of all the tools that the need to rectify what they need to have rectified or else the law as applied is going to have to be changed, because those that are the elites of this nation, are not going to tolerate being treated as if they are just some sort of common citizen, because the law as enforced is meant to be applied only upon them, and never upon thee.
